Eagles Application Letter

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Eagle Scholarship.

What is the Eagle Scholarship?  The Eagle Scholarship has been established in honor of Dr. Ottis Ball, a retired Ordained Bishop with the Church of God, who has been involved with the CAMS Program for the past 10 years. It is our desire to provide some financial support to young ministers by way of a scholarship.  We believe that this will make a difference in the lives of the upcoming ministers.

Who may apply and when?  Anyone registered for the Tennessee CAMS Program may apply at the time of registration.  A three-member board will review the applications by using a pre-determined rubric to score and rank.  Scholarships will be awarded based on the application ranking.

How much can I expect from the Scholarship?  Each scholarship will be for $500.00.  The number of scholarships given each year will depend upon the amount of money raised each year.

If you are awarded a scholarship, a check will be written to CAMS to assist with your cost of the program.  If your cost is less than $500.00, the remainder of the scholarship will be given to you to help defray expenses such as traveling cost.

We appreciate your interest in this scholarship. Please return your application to Gale Hodge by either email (ghodge@cogtn.org) or fax (423-899-7783) no later than Saturday, August 26, 2017 to be considered.
